Drupal CMS is an open-source CMS that combines the power of Drupal with pre-configured features and a modern editing experience. I oversee product direction, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery. Our goal is bring Drupal's power to a wider audience by making it easier to get started and faster to deliver.

I lead Drupal services for a small agency based in Australia. We build and support some of the largest Drupal sites in this part of the world. I joined in 2017 and took over as CTO in 2022. Technocrat has generously supported my work on Drupal CMS and I am so lucky to contribute to Drupal as part of my job.

I volunteer as a life saver at the Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club, patrolling at my local beach during the summer months. Life savers are like less qualified lifeguards who don't get paid (what we lack in skill we make up for in numbers). I spend a lot of time at the beach, which is a three-minute ride on my e-bike.

On somewhat of a whim, I went on a trip to Australia in 2011. I certainly did not intend to move here, but the visa situation was pretty loose back then and I ended up finding work and staying a while. I feel incredibly lucky to have found a second home in an incredible country. I became a citizen in 2019.

I've been contributing to Drupal since I first started using it in 2011. I found the community at a local meetup in Sydney and I have been enthralled ever since. I've organised events, spoken at conferences, contributed code and met some of the most incredible people, many of whom are now my friends.

PreviousNext, a Drupal agency based in Sydney, gave me my first real job in Drupal, and sponsored me to stay in Australia. From 2012 to 2017, I worked alongside some of the smartest and nicest people I've ever met. It was an incredible opportunity to learn, and I had a lot to learn.

I worked at NBCOlympics.com from 2007 to 2010, covering swimming at the Beijing Games and ice hockey at the Vancouver Games. I saw Michael Phelps win all eight of his gold medals. I attended the gold medal USA-Canada game and was told off several times for celebrating in the press box. Guess I wasn't meant to be a journalist.

I worked at NBCSports.com from 2006 to 2007, launching the site (that's right, NBC Sports did not have a website until 2006) with a small team of enthusiastic recent college grads. Thanks to what could generously be described as a primitive CMS, I discovered HTML and CSS and started to wonder.

My first job after college was as a copy editor at my hometown paper, The Advocate. We had a team of 5-6 people editing the print edition of the paper every night, which is unthinkable now. It was a good (union!) job that I enjoyed, but the print deadline at 2am each day made for difficult hours.

Yes, I won an Emmy Award. Well, our whole team did, for our online coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Pretty much everyone who has ever worked on the Olympics broadcast has at least one, but it's still kind of cool. The trophy remains at my parents' house, where my mom loves to show it to visitors.

I attended the University of Richmond from 2001-2005 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in History and Classical Civilizations. My dad found this impractical and liked to joke that I was going to open a history store. It hasn't come to that yet, but there's still time.

I spent one semester as a student at the University of Ferrara in Italy in fall 2003. Ferrara is a lovely town located about halfway between Venice and Bologna. The compact city center is completely flat, and bicycles rule the cobblestone roads. For a short time back then, I could say I was fluent in Italian.

I grew up watching the New York Rangers with my dad. I have vivid memories of their Stanley Cup win in 1994, and hope to someday see it again. It's hard to keep up with an 82-game season from the other side of the world, but I love to go to games and always have time for a playoff run.

I was born in New York City, and grew up for the most part in nearby Stamford, Connecticut. My mom was born and raised in NYC, and she made sure we spent plenty of time there even after we moved to the suburbs. It's still my favourite city in the world and I visit frequently.
